Tanzanite belongs to the dusty mulberry family in mineralogy. It is a silicate mineral. The gem-grade tanzanite was discovered in the Tantan century at the age of 60 in the 20th century. It contains vanadium (V) so that it has the same blue color, because Tanzanite also has the country’s national stone, which is often referred to as "tanzanite blue" in the industry.
